DigiTeRRI - Digital transformation of an industry region

Värmland is a region with a traditional industry where new digital technology and processes are part of future challenges due to tomorrow's needs. The industry needs to evolve and the question we aim to meet is; how can a region act to support this change?

To contribute to the digital changes in basic industries DigiTeRRI, a European project within the EU’s Horizon 2020 program, has taken form. Three regions in three European countries have joined forces to jointly develop visions and action plans for a digital transition based on each region’s conditions.

The underlying work method used in the project is called RRI. It aims to identify the various stakeholders that will be affected by the changes described and to include them and create commitment in the adjustment work.
