To realise the global climate goals, cross-border cooperation is now more important than ever. ConnectedByBiobord is an open innovation platform connecting bioeconomy developers in the Baltic Sea region.

The ConnectedByBiobord project centres around the Biobord platform which enables a co-creation dialogue between business, research, policy and civil society in a transnational bioeconomy network. The project aims to find new solutions and to support innovations towards sustainable bioeconomy in the rural regions of the Baltic Sea region.

Between the autumn of 2020 and the summer of 2021, three different pilot projects are planned in the areas of food, technology and development of the forest value chain.

Participating organizations are JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Paper Province and Krinova Incubator and Science Park (Sweden), Vidzeme Planning Region and Institute of Environmental Solutions (Latvia), Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and Tretorget Ltd (Norway), SEI Tallinn (Estonia) and Pro Civis (Poland).
