We are now looking for a Category Manager to run and develop your designated category including procurement of external services, vendor management, and efficient stakeholder management. You will be working in the sourcing unit and you will report to our Sourcing Director. Any technical experience related to machinery or equipment is seen as meritorious, also Swedish proficiency is a must since you will work in close collaborations with Swedish mills.
As a Category Manager you will execute the procurement of external services. You are responsible to develop Category Strategies and Procurement plans for assigned subcategories in Sourcing & Logistics. Today Sourcing & Logistics is an important part of a variety of projects and as a Category Manager you will have the opportunity to be in a key position in our transformation journey. You execute procurement plans and request for proposals for assigned projects in close cooperation with your stakeholders in offices and sites.
You negotiate and contract within given framework and according to our policies and guidelines. You are responsible for developing and adjusting the supplier base, selecting and prequalifying suppliers. You will also run supplier development for contracted suppliers with focus to make best use of existing agreements and drive continuous improvement. The position includes maintaining a large database of vendors and contacts within the category as well as to log purchases into the purchasing system for proper governance, tracking and classification. As a Category Manager you are also functioning as a Supplier Account Manager for assigned suppliers.

Qualifications
Are you the one? In order to succeed in this role, you have several years working experience in international procurement and experience in Category Management. Your proficiency is based on a Bachelor’s degree or in equivalent experience. You have a good understanding of category management, strategic sourcing practices and supplier and stakeholder management. Additionally, we require experience in negotiating complex agreements with suppliers.
