The RISE project aims to support innovation and resilience by developing new innovation ecosystems and collaboration methods within the EU.
The focus is on green and digital transformation and smart manufacturing. Specific areas of interest are Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing, Bioeconomy, and Smart Technologies. The project involves expertise from three transition regions and two developed regions, based on five focus areas. The overall goal is to accelerate the implementation of innovation and promote interregional cooperation.
European companies are offered the opportunity to scale up their innovations in three less developed regions in the EU: Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Portugal. Actors from less developed regions will be matched with partners from other regions within the project. Those invited to participate are primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups, but larger organizations, clusters, authorities, and universities can also participate. The participating actors are offered guidance in development processes, assistance with financing strategies, and contacts to move from idea to action and establish new solutions.
