The On-Demand initiative represents a long-term effort to secure the industry’s access to critical spare parts and components. Its purpose is to contribute to a competitive industrial landscape by reducing the risk of disruptions in supply chains.
The manufacturing industry is a cornerstone of Sweden’s economy and relies entirely on spare parts to function. Supply chains are often global, which has proven vulnerable when external events impact trade. This initiative, involving organizations like Paper Province, aims to make companies more resilient to external disturbances while simultaneously creating new opportunities for local suppliers.
There is a growing need to adapt the manufacturing industry based on changing requirements and negative global shifts. Simultaneously, the goal is to maintain continuity and competitiveness within Sweden’s process industry.
