The BioBoosters – Boosting Circular Transition project connects nine regions around the Baltic Sea – all with strong bioeconomy innovation ecosystems. Together we will work to strengthen the circular and bioeconomy transition among companies in the Baltic Sea region.
To contribute to a more sustainable development, the project aims to support companies, startups, and innovators to develop circular and bioeconomy solutions.
By using a unique hackathon method we will help companies with different challenges to connect with solution providers – mainly startups that can provide solutions in the form of their products, processes, and so on.
A total of 18 hackathons will take place during the project. Each will focus on a bioeconomy company providing a challenge connected to the transformation towards a more circular business. The challenges will be drawn from Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The higher purpose of the project is to further design, pilot, and refine an international cooperation model and service concept for organizing hackathons, to be used also after the life of the project.
