Open call: Apply for support to scale up the bioeconomy using digitization

Small and medium-sized enterprises can now apply for a place in the bioeconomy accelerator programme DigiCirc. The programme will fund, and support solutions focused on digital technologies.

DigiCirc is a project that strengthens the circular economy through digital tools. It supports highly innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the development and marketing of solutions, products, and processes based on circular value chains. 2.4 million EUR will be distributed through three Open Calls, one of which focuses on bioeconomy.

DigiCirc has now launched the Bioeconomy Open Call to select SMEs that will join the Bioeconomy Accelerator Programme: a 12-week highly intensive programme to develop solutions based on digital technologies to tackle a series of challenges identified within the Bioeconomy domain.

The programme has a total budget of 800,000 euros that will fund at least 15 consortia. Each company needs to apply with another small or medium-sized company.

Selected SMEs get access to:

✓ Up to €60k equity free funding per SME/Start-up
✓ Access to 3 useful digital tools and data to facilitate the digitization process
✓ Strategical European partnerships through Matchmaking activities
✓ One-on-one Business Coaching support
✓ Thematic Mentoring support provided by industry experts

After completing the accelerator program, the five best consortia will be rewarded with a grant of 100,000 euros.
