
Call for applications: Challenge Lab Seed Fund
Until 17 May, companies can apply for funding from the Challenge Lab Seed Fund. The Seed Fund finances innovative solutions and development initiatives that contribute to a low-carbon and resource-efficient transformation of industry and society. The fund supports collaborative projects and funding can be applied for by companies and other actors from counties in Northern Central Sweden.
The regions that make up Northern Central Sweden (NMS), ie Gävleborg, Dalarna and Värmland, are undergoing an overall industrial transformation with consequences for business, jobs and society. In January 2018, the European Commission selected Northern Central Sweden to participate in the pilot initiative “Regions in industrial transformation”. The initiative aims to jointly identify new ways and tools for developing sustainable economic development in European industrial regions through increased knowledge exchange and strengthened collaboration and dialogue between the European Commission, the regions and its business community.
Challenge Lab NMS and Challenge Lab NMS Sedd Fund are parts of the initiative, which has also led to a joint strategy for industrial transformation.
Application for Challenge Lab Seed Fund
Challenge Lab Seed Fund aims to kick-start collaborative projects. The fund is available for financing initiatives from company groups and other actors from the counties in NMS for research, development and innovation initiatives aimed at low-carbon and resource-efficient transformation of industry and society, with up to SEK 150,000 per project.
