WINNERS OF VINNVÄXT
130 million SEK in ten years. That is how much Paper Province gets from Vinnova and regional co-financers to invest in research, development and commercialization of bio-economic products and services in the regional forest industry.
130 MILLION SEK OVER TEN YEARS
The Swedish Innovation agency, Vinnova appointed Paper Province one of the winners of their Vinnväxt competition in June 2013, granting Paper Province a total of 130 million SEK over ten years. The goal is to create an internationally attractive innovation environment for forest-based bio-economy.
RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND COMMERCIALIZATION
Half of the money comes from Vinnova and half from the regional co-financiers of the Region Värmland, Karlstad University, the Värmland municipalities, the County Board, County Council, SP, Forest and Paper Provinces member companies. The money will be used for research, development and commercialization of new forest industry products and services, but also to increase efficiency in basic industry and Värmland’s innovation system.
