Innovation Award for the European forest-based sector

The Schweighofer Prize is donated by the Austrian Schweighofer family, who has been engaged in the European woodworking industry for generations. Since 2003 the award is presented every second year, and is endowed with a total prize money of € 300,000. The Schweighofer Prize awards innovative ideas, technologies, products and services in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the European Forest Based Sector. All natural persons or groups of individuals as well as organisations are eligible to participate. The applicants have to fulfil all conditions in form and content. The most important requirement is the obvious benefit for the European Forest Based Sector.

THE SUBMISSION

Submissions can only be made online.

The call for contributions to the Schweighofer Prize 2017 is open between
1st November 2016, 08:00 CET and 3rd February 2017, 14:00 CET.

You need to register before starting to prepare your application. After registration you will get a password to your e-mail and you can begin to fill in the application form. You can save the application form and complete it later on. Please submit your application when you have fully completed it.

You can submit your application or proposal either in German or English. We kindly ask you not to use another language, as no translation will be offered to the jury. Please note that only applications/proposals that meet the content and formal requirements will be accepted.

Mapping of valuable industrial symbiosis

Kick-off for the Nordic Network in Industrial Symbiosis

Paper Province together with Linköping University represented Sweden at the kick-off for a new Nordic Network in Industrial Symbiosis. It is the Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordregio that created the network for participants to share experiences and together accelerate the development. At the meeting in Copenhagen there were representatives from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
