HOLLANDER TO MODERATE BIOECONOMY DEBATE IN BRUSSELS

Maria Hollander, CEO of Paper Province was one of the people involved with outlining the European Bioconomy Manifesto. On friday, November 17 she will be one of the moderators in a discussion concerning the manifesto in Brussels.

On thursday, November 16, the European Commission presents its review of the European Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan and discuss its findings with stakeholders and policy makers.

Furthermore, the European Bioeconomy Stakeholders Panel will present and discuss its Bioeconomy Manifesto, setting an agenda for bioeconomic development. These discussions will reflect on the experiences gained over the past four years with Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan, and on the possible need for new actions.

As a member of the Bioeconomy Stakeholder Panel, Maria Hollander, CEO of Paper Province, will attend this event and take active part in a sideevent arranged by the Bioeconomy Stakeholder panel on November 17. The sideevent is an interactive workshop where participants will discuss and debate the content of the manifesto, and Maria Hollander will be one of the moderators of the event.

Kick-off for the Nordic Network in Industrial Symbiosis

Paper Province together with Linköping University represented Sweden at the kick-off for a new Nordic Network in Industrial Symbiosis. It is the Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordregio that created the network for participants to share experiences and together accelerate the development. At the meeting in Copenhagen there were representatives from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Industrial Symbiosis in Sweden

Paper Province recently participated in a big meeting about industrial symbiosis for Swedish actors. Companies, academia and public sector from large parts of the country gathered in Kungshamn to discuss how industrial symbiosis can continue to develop at both local and national level.
